He first came to the United States under a government exchange visitor program. Dr. Mendoza then completed a rotating residency at (former) Nashville General Hospital and Wilmington, Delaware. Dr. Mendoza worked as a pediatrician on staff at Madison Hospital, Memorial Hospital and Hendersonville Hospital. I loved and adored you Dr. We had a lot of years working together. I will miss our chats we had every now and then. You were so loving and caring. We used to joke that we had many grandkids. Each one of your patients were always special to you. You were a great doctor with so much compassion and love. Working with you was the best job I ever had, I always looked forward to going to the office. You will truely be missed by many. My love and prayers to your wonderful family.

Dr. Mendoza was a great man in every sense of the word. He was a wonderful father to his children. I grew up with his daughter Tammy. We were very close friends, and then life happened taking us to different states. I would like to say to Tammy, Mark, Danny, Gina and his beautiful wife and incredible Mother Carolyn, you’re all in my prayers. I wish I had known. I would have come home. You’re in my heart.

I had a vivid dream about Dr. Mendoza 3 nights ago.
I had no idea that he passed away until this moment.

Dr. Mendoza was the kindest man and amazing doctor!
Our “children” are now 44, 33, and 30 years old but we still talk about Dr. Mendoza often. Our children adored him as did my husband and I.

Both of our boys had health problems as children so we saw Dr. Mendoza on a very regular basis. Not only did he diagnosis their puzzling symptoms, he went well beyond what any other doctor would have done.

Any child lucky enough to have him as their doctor, loved him.

He was a beautiful, kind soul that we are so very lucky to have known. Always loved, forever missed.

We’re so sad to learn about his passing. We’re sending our prayers, thoughts and love to the best doctor ever and his beautiful family.
