Glenn Jackson Jones- age 88 passed away May 15, 2016.
As a young man he served our country proudly in the U.S. Navy during WWII. After the War he met and married the love of his life Helen Carter of the Carter Family. During his career he was a stunt pilot and he drove and flew for many country music stars as well. He was an excellent business man and even owned his own company, Tri-State Distribution, a first of its kind company. When remembering him the first thing that comes to mind is the generosity he showed to his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Preceded in death by father, James Colon Jones, Sr.; mother, Annie Elizabeth Hardee Jones; step-mother, Minnie Lee McDaniel Jones; wife, Helen Carter Jones; son, Kenneth Burton Jones; sisters, Ernestine, Almeida, Virginia, Melba, Linda, Barbara and Helen; brothers, J.C. Margot and I are saddened to hear of Glenn’s passing. We will always remember what a fine person he was and how much we enjoyed seeing him at family gatherings. The last time I remember was some years back at a Hardee Family reunion at Aunt Leta’s home in Burlington. There were a number of times that I recall from earlier family gatherings when I was young. I will always remember how kind and pleasant he was to me and my brother Steve. Our father, Clyde Hardee,
always spoke of Glenn as being the kind of person we should admire and look up to and we did and still do.
So let me close this by saying that our thoughts and prayers will be with you during this difficult time and to send our love
    to everyone.

    May God Bless You,
    David and Margot Hardee
