Gone, but never forgotten. Someone who made friendships quickly, never wavered from them, and best, would always be there when you needed her. And, you knew Shirlee loved you, if you had the rare opportunity, to give you her “Stink Eye”, when she felt you were being selfish, or as Rick knows, talking B.S.
Enjoyed her friendship for 35+ years!

My spunky fun Aunt Shirley. You always made us smile. Thank you for all the wonderful childhood memories . My favorite memory is going with you on a trip to Hilton Head after my graduation.
You will be missed but I know we will be together again in heaven. Give Momo and paw paw and uncle Ronnie and uncle Kenny from us.

Rick what a beautiful tribute to Shirlee in pictures. What memories you will have. May your memories be endless and your grief be brief. My prayer for you Rick, is that God will draw you to him for comfort and his abiding love that comes only through Him.

Shirlee was always kind to me and to the students at Volunteer State Community College. Even though she had retired several years ago, I still missed her presence in the Office of Public Relations, not just because she helped me grow into her position, but because she was a familiar face to so many in the community. I am glad that I got to know her.

It has been a while since we cruised the streets of Bakersfield together. But your warm, magnetic personality will never be forgotten by all of your friends out here. I know Shirlee was well-loved by you for fifty + happy years. I hope you recover quickly as I’m sure Shirlee would want you to.

Come to the next reunion if you can, we would all love to see you up close again and reminisce. I’ll let you know when we meet. In the meantime, “keep it between the ditches” my friend. Use the memories of the good times to smooth your way.

    Sincerely, Norm Plummer
