Staff Spotlight: Buddy Shea

Published: May 9, 2016
Staff Spotlight: Buddy Shea How long have you worked in this profession? I have been in funeral service since September of 2015. What do you like most about what you do every day? I enjoy meeting with families and assisting them in planning meaningful funerals which reflect the lives of their loved ones in the most personal way possible. No two families are alike and no two loved ones who have passed are the same either so my work is never monotonous, it is always new. How are you involved in the community? My family and I are parishioners at St. Mary of the Seven Sorrows. I am a second degree Knight of Columbus and a member of the Legion of Mary. Additionally, I am an active alumnus of John A. Gupton College and remain in touch with the professors who taught me. How long have you worked at Hendersonville Memory Gardens and Funeral Home? I began serving the families here in March of 2015. What do you like best about the Hendersonville community? I enjoy the wide array of restaurants and shops in the area. My wife and I are foodies and we love to try out new places and return to ones we absolutely crave on a regular basis. What do you like best about working at Hendersonville Memory Gardens and Funeral Home? The opportunity to serve families in their time of need and assist them in making decisions regarding their loved one's funeral. I attempt to take away some of the stress and pressure that has been thrust upon a family.
