Our Love and Prayers are with the family at this time. I so well remember Mr Stringfellow as a customer when I worked at Citizens Bank on the corner of Cherokee Rd. Such a nice kind person and always had a smile. All those years I did not know he had sung with Stamp Baxter and the Swanee River Boys. Bob and I were very much involved in gospel music at that time including the Music and Publishers of Stamp Baxter Song Books. The Spear Family and Jennings Trio are very dear friends. He is now enjoying what he sang in songs and rejoicing with the One he sang about. What A Day That Will Be is now reality.

Love and condolences to aunt Pearlie, my cousins Laura, Greg, Doug and Philip and the grandchildren and great -grandchildren. I believe the last time we were all together was for Nanny’s funeral – 20 years ago. Your family has lost a fine, good-hearted man with a kind and gentle disposition. When I saw photos of Donald taken in the last few years I was surprised to see how much he and Margaret resembled each other in their later years. On a lighter note, when I watched the Suwanee River Boys reunion video last night I was taken with the awesome pink sport coat that Donald wore, the same one he is wearing in the photo above. That coat should be kept in the family and worn in Donald’s memory.

Awe…thank you soooo much Ronna. It has been way too long since we have all connected. I hate that.

And yes, that is the very coat he is wearing now. Was one of his favorites. And I agree, he and Margaret did resemble each other very much. We will miss him, and still do Aunt Margaret. 🙁
