My husband and I were volunteers with Jill at the Claremont Library Friends group. She was a loyal volunteer and very reliable. Her enthusiasm for the books was obvious. Our group was very fortunate to have her leadership for so long. I was sorry to read in the Courier that she had passed. The booksales that she led were, and still remain, the primary source of income for the Friends’ group. They have helped fund renovations first in the childrens’ wing then most recently bought furniture for the renovation of the adult side. Claremont is lucky to have had such a loyal volunteer as Jill.

My husband and I have made a small donation in Jill’s memory to the Friends of the Claremont Library.
