Jan was someone who truly loved me as a friend. I knew her for 36 years. We had a blast when we were young. Went skiing, throwing empty bottles of blackberry brandy off the ski lift, we went to the Bahamas together, saw Tom Petty, we went up to Higgins Lake and even saw Dennis Rodman of all people there. The crazy times at Thunderbowl, and the friendship that lasted throughout the years. She always had my back, she was my biggest cheerleader. I always thought that my parents were my guardian angels protecting me. Now, I have another.. I will always miss her. I am so sorry for her loss, and may God bring the family comfort.

    To the family and friends
I don’t know any of you but I do know her good friend Nancy.
Nancy loves her very much and will miss her friend dearly. I do know if she is anything like Nancy, she was a kind loving person we all prayed for her and the family and will continue to pray for family and friends. Janice will be just fine now resting in the Lord. Her suffering is all over.
I pray for peace and comfort for all those Janice left behind.
    In Christ’s love, Karen

I have known Janice since I was 9 years old and she was like a sister to me growing up. We lived on the same block and hung out together, whether stealing cigarettes from her mom and smoking in our “fort” behind the house, to going out to the school dances, to seeing the last Cat Stevens concert at Cobo in 1976; to driving to Elizabeth park in my mom’s Grand Torino; to her visiting me at Eastern Michigan University when I went to college; to her bringing little Jimmy over to my mom’s house when he was a baby. I hung out with her during the summer when I was home from college and then to playing Farmville with her once we found each other again on Facebook. Janice was a wonderful person, funny, bright and she loved her family fiercely. I am going to miss her.

What a precious blessing she was. She truly tried to share her love of Christ with everyone by the way she cared for them.Just talking to her over the phone lifted our hearts always cheering us on. She is our niece 2 years ago we tried to make a trip back to Michigan and she was on our list of visits we so wanted to see her and meet her family it had years since we saw her.,but Uncle Bob took ill and we had to return home, he mentioned to her he couldn’t get warm enough after surgery and within a month. we received in the mail a special U of M blanket made by her. That so touched Uncle Bobs heart he uses it everyday and never forget her precious gift. We loved getting phone calls from her always cheerful and encouraging us on. We didn’t know she had been ill and had been hospitalized until 2 ago when our other niece Liz let us know. We will be praying for all of you today that GOD comfort you and gives you HIS peace. Our hearts are sad but we know we shall be together again and she shall be waiting with Jesus to welcome us home❤️ Love ❤️ By HIS Grace Uncle Bob and Aunt Wanda

to the friends and family of Janice Sanders.. I worked with Janice at Thunder bowl many years ago. She was always so full of life. I was so shocked to here of her passing. May the good Lord, wrap his arms around you and carry you home. You fly with the Angels now. My thoughts, and prayers are with your family.
RIP Janice. Gone but never forgotten.
