Lisa and Dale, so sorry to hear of your mothers passing. I never got to meet her in person, but we had a loooong and very funny phone conversation last year. She’s at rest now.

Our hearts are so sad, as I know yours are also.
We will always remember all the laughs and funny things that the four of us (Janice, Charlie and Charles and I )
got into. I miss her already and we loved her so much.

Please know that so many friends and family grieve with you all. Janice was a β€œone of a kind” friend.

As a teenager I was good friends with Jackie (Janice’s sister) and spent many nights at her house. Janice was a
couple of years younger than we were but I remember her as a really kind and sweet girl. I know she will be missed
by her friends and family. May God bless all of you in your sorrow.

Janice and I were dear friends during our childhood. We had many adventures together. Some were hilarious, some not so much. We did everything together and spent many hours at each others home. I loved the Poe family, and considered Mrs. Poe 1 of my Ardee mothers.
I am sad that I did not see Janice more as time went on, but I love her and our time together as children. Janice was indeed a lovely, charming and very fun and funny girl. She was also beautiful.
May you who loved her best be comforted at this sad time.

Janice and Charles were the best neighbors. I have so many memories from my childhood involving the Downs family and Morris St. They treated us like family, not just neighbors. I know she’s so happy to be reunited with Charlie and Chucky now. She’ll definitely be missed.

We send our love to all the family. Janice will be greatly missed in our One Heart Bible Study; she always helped generate thoughtful discussion. We truly enjoyed being with her and will miss her so much. She loved parties and we had so much fun dressing in outlandish outfits and just having a really good time. We miss you, Janice.

I was Margie Houdeshell and I graduated Madison High School 19 5 7, a year before Janice. I thought about her recently when I drove down the Montague area and for some reason connected that with her. I think her family owned a grocery store there. I remember Jackie too, as being a sweet girl. I knew Janice pretty well to be a year older. I can almost see “Chief Poe” now in his squad car. I also attended Madison Church of Christ where she attended They were a well-respected family as was Jackie in school. I am glad she had a happy marriage although I recall his name but not him personally. I know you are proud of your family and I am sorry about your loss. That saddens me and I hope she did not suffer before her death. God Bless you and your family.

I am sorrr for the loss of your mother. I was a friend of Janice at Madison HIgh School although I graduated 1957 being a year older than her. We also attended Madison Church, I ran in the same circle as your mom in high school and I recall her as being a very pretty and nice young lady. I also knew Jackie but not as well and recall her being a friendly polite lady too. I can almost see your grandad “Chief Poe” in his squad car now. Your mom was always friendly and fun to be with. I was in the Montague area last week and recalled that your grandparents owned a grocery store there on the corner. I know you will miss your mom and it saddens me to think of her passing. Condolences to your family and loved ones.
