    Dearest Hazel,

I am so very sorry for the unexpected loss of Jonathan. Although I only knew Jonathan, you and the children because I work next door at the Fleming residence, I often spoke with Jonathan in the yard or when Matthew was showing his dad his mowing skills. The pride he shared when talking about his family was immediately evident along with his kindness.

Having loss my own husband several years ago, you need to know that you are not alone. In the days to come, if you feel overwhelmed and need someone to stay with the children, go to the store for you or anything else, please do not hesitate to let me know by emailing me at the address below so that I may provide you with my cell phone number.

My sympathy and prayers are with you, your family and extended family.

    Blessings,
    Lynne Stephens

Hazel, I have been deeply saddened by your loss. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting you and your husband over 10 years ago. I am sure you are so proud knowing Jonathan possessed the qualities of a kind, humble, hardworking man, who clearly put his family first. My last memory of Jonathan was at the YMCA, where he often took the kids. He wore a contagious smile that I pray will comfort you during this challenging time. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. May GOD Bless you and fill your beautiful heart with loving memories of your amazing husband!

I am shocked and sadly broken for the loss of my childhood buddy “Juni.” I cherished the time that I was able to reconnect with Jonathan and met his lovely wife Hazelle and his amazing kids. And to spend dinner with them and his adorable mom that night, truly blessed our awesome trip. Jonathan welcomed my kids and accommodated us for the night as my family drove from Texas to NY. Seeing him back then, rekindled our childhood memories from the old PS 11 (Jersey City NJ). Life is a fleeting moment when good things happen to you and the good friends that you cherished with. May God’s presence and peace dwell in the lives of the Arreza Family.
