Ms. Mildred Elrod, age 76, of Hendersonville, passed away on March 14, 2019. She was born on August 30, 1942 in Madison, TN to the late Andrew and Georgia Gregory.
Mildred enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and her sister, Mary Jane. She loved to make people smile. She worked many years in the garden department at Lowes and had an avid love for flowers and she loved to be around people. She was a beautician for many years, and was well remembered for her time working at The Curling Cottage. She was truly an amazing mother, grandmother, and sister.
Mildred is survived by her sons, Bobby (Rebecca) Elrod, and Brian (Tammy) Elrod; four grandchildren, Kaylor, Andrew, Connor, and Matthew; and one sister, Mary Jane Tuttle.
A life celebration will be held at 1pm, Monday, March 18, 2019 at Long Hollow Baptist Church. Visitation will be held at the church Sunday from 3-8pm and again from 11-1pm at the church prior to the service. Hendersonville Memory Gardens, Funeral Home, and Cremation Service are in charge of arrangements.

    Ms Mildred was a Grand Lady, and a mither to us all that worked at Lowes. So sorry for your loss Bobby and Brian.
    She had a beautiful soul, ger attityde was infectious

    Miss Mildred was always a joy to talk to.
    She always seemed to have a twinkle in
    her eye. She was such a pretty lady. I loved being around her at Lowes.

    Love this sweet beautiful lady! Work in the garden center where she was a cashier for many years! Rest high on that mountain Mildred!

    I met Mildred years ago through a hair dresser friend that she worked with. Then she later worked at Lowe’s and I saw her often there. She was a lovely & friendly lady always with a smile. Hold to your memories. You will be in my prayers.

    A kind and sweet soul has gone to be with the Lord. She will be truly be missed. I didn’t really know her but I did. She was the kind of person who never met a stranger we shared many a conversation through the check out when she worked at Lowes.

    It saddens me to see that Ms Mildred had pass . . No matter what she always had sunshine from her she was a beautiful person ! so sorry for your loss she is greatly missed .
