Mr. Thomas N. Fitts, age 87 of Hendersonville TN, passed away on August 7th,2019. He and his wife Dimple Fitts have lived in the Hendersonville community for many years and shared a wonderful 64 years of marriage together. Thomas was a tender hearted & loving man who cared deeply for his family. He served his country in the United States Airforce during the Korean War. Thomas loved Ford model vehicles & worked for 31 years at the Ford glass plant. He had a passion for golf and loved played at various courses around the United States and locally at the Long Hollow Golf Course. In his spare time he would watch golf games, and would fix anything around the house that needed fixing. He always kept everything around the house neat and orderly. With his wife, he loved to travel, help to keep the yard, and played scrabble. He was a lifelong & faithful member of the Church of Christ & attended at Lakeview Church of Christ in Hendersonville. His family describes him as a Godly man, and a protector to his family.
Thomas is preceded in death by his Parents Eddie & Nellie Fitts. His son Daniel Thomas Fitts, Sister Louise & (Alfred) Mason & Sister Mary Nell & (Jim) Creager.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Mrs. Dimple H. Fitts of Hendersonville TN. His daughter Debbie & (Tommy) Mack of Greenbrier TN. Grandchildren: Nathaniel Fitts, Joel McGrath, Ashley Lane, Kristina Baswell, Bridget Letts, & Jacob Fitts . Great-Grandchildren- McKenzie Fitts, Christophers Fitts, Cora McGrath, Graham McGrath, Kylie Lane, Kenyan Lane, John Baswell, Daniel Baswell, Michael Baswell, Catie Mae Baswell, Elizabeth Letts, Orrik Letts. His sister Bessie Sue Fitts of Nashville, TN. and numerous nieces & nephews.
Funeral services for Thomas will be held on Saturday August 10th at 10AM at Hendersonville Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Hunt Officiating. Interment to follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. The family will accept visitors at the funeral home on Friday evening August 9th from 4:00PM to 8:00PM in the stateroom. Visitation will continue Saturday morning August 10th from 9:00AM until service time at 10:00AM.
