Alan C. Pettitt

Apr 2, 1943 — Aug 20, 2026

Hendersonville

We are deeply saddened, and our lives are forever changed as we mourn the passing of Alan Claude Pettitt on August 20, 2026, at the age of 83.

Born in Cardiff, South Wales, to Gladys "Nelly" and Claude Pettitt, Alan grew up alongside his older sister, Joan.

A long-time resident of Hendersonville, Tennessee, Alan loved nothing more than spending peaceful days with friends and family, playing his guitars, writing songs, and loving those close to him deeply.

Alan was always there for anyone in need, constantly offering a warm, "Call me if you need anything," a promise many relied upon. He was kind, caring, gifted with a great sense of humor, and known for his big, beautiful smile.

Alan is survived by his beloved children, Michael, Kimmie, and Jason, and is now reunited with his son, Darin.

He was the proud grandfather of Tricia, Zachary, Josh, Lacey, Hailey, Layne, and Jarek, and was blessed with his cherished great-grandchildren, Shelbi, Eli, Atrea, Richard, and the anticipated arrival of Jack in September 2026.

He will be deeply loved and remembered by Jason (Susan), Kimmie (Ron), Josh, Lacey (Brandon), Michael (Jeanne), Zachary (Megan), Diana (Jim), Carol, her daughters Shalise (Chase) and Anjilee (Rich), Jon Paul (Tammy), and Mary, along with a vast extended family of loved ones near and far across Idaho, Oregon, Arizona, Georgia, Texas, Washington, Cyprus, Tennessee, and Kentucky.
