Benjamin Arriaza Amaya, lovingly known as “Ben,” was born on March 29, 1966, and departed this life on July 24, 2026. His time with us was marked by warmth, a generous spirit, and a deep appreciation for both family and life’s everyday joys.
Ben was blessed with a devoted family. He is survived by his father, Ricardo Arriaza, and his mother, Maria Amaya De Arriaza, whose unwavering support and love were cornerstones in his life. His legacy lives on through his children: Eric Arriaza, Akcel Arriaza, and Jensen Arriaza, and Cherlyn Arriaza, each of whom carries forward his values and passions. Ben’s siblings—Sonia Arriaza, Arely Majano, and Jane Rodriguez; also other special friends, Marina Megia, Gilberto Molina, Esmerabda Fuentes, Kellyn Chicas, Christy Caicas, Jake, Kyra, Travis, Bella Majano, Dyllan, Wesley Rodriguez.
He was also shaped by cherished relationships with loved ones who preceded him in death. Ben was a devoted husband to both Erica Villalobos and Dora Villatoro. He now rests alongside his beloved grandfathers, Secondino Ortez and Leonardo Amaya, and his aunt Gregoria Amaya, each of whom helped guide and support him throughout his life.
Ben’s passions were many. He found joy in cooking, whether preparing meals for family gatherings or experimenting in the kitchen. Always active, Ben loved riding his bike, fishing at peaceful lakesides, swimming, and playing soccer. His love for dancing and hiking reflected his zest for life and his appreciation for both lively moments and quiet beauty in nature.
