Betty Jacqueline Crabtree, age 78, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away on June 7, 2026. Born on December 22, 1947, in Fountain Run, Kentucky, Betty lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service to others. She attended Gamaliel High School in Kentucky.

On January 8, 1966, she married the love of her life, Jerry. Together they shared a beautiful marriage spanning 60 years, building a home filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Betty was a devoted wife and mother who worked various part-time jobs in her early years, including serving as an Avon representative, so she could balance caring for her family while contributing to their household. Later, she worked as an American Greetings Card Representative at several local stores, where her friendly personality and warm smile brightened the days of those she met.

Betty's faith was the foundation of her life. As a child, she attended Fountain Run Missionary Baptist Church, where she was saved. She remained active there until her marriage, after which she became a faithful member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church, where she worshiped and served for more than 40 years. Betty read her Bible daily and devoted countless hours to teaching others as a Sunday School teacher and Vacation Bible School teacher, sharing God's love with generations of children.

She found joy in life's simple blessings and treasured the time spent with her family. Betty enjoyed bowling with Jerry, visiting Opryland, walking along the beach, and creating lasting memories with those she loved. She was an active member of the Happy Face Homemakers, TOPS Club, and the Red Hats Club, where she formed many cherished friendships.

Nothing brought Betty greater happiness than supporting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Whether cheering from the sidelines at a sporting event, celebrating accomplishments, or simply spending time together, she was their biggest fan and greatest encourager. Her love for her family knew no bounds.

Betty will be remembered as a wonderful and Godly wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her warm, contagious smile, kind heart, and steadfast faith touched the lives of all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, grace, and devotion that will continue to inspire her family and friends for generations to come.

Betty is preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Denise Crabtree; her parents, Clovis Jack Cornwell and Margaret Brandon Cornwell; her son-in-law, Paul Horton; and her siblings, Delbert Cornwell, Joe Cornwell, Lee Hughes Maine, Emma Welch, and Brenda Oliver.

Betty is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Lee Crabtree; her daughter, Cindy Crabtree Horton; her grandsons, Timothy Horton (McCall) and Jonathon Horton (Caitie); her great grandchildren, Hunter, Allie, Blane, and Brody Horton; and her sisters, Marie Solomon, Glenith Morrison (Bobby), and Becky Pitcock.

Visitation for Betty will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026 from 10 am until 12 noon at Hendersonville Funeral Home (353 E. Main Street, Hendersonville, Tennessee, 37075). The funeral service will begin at 12 noon with Brother Mark Horton and Brother Daniel Brawner officiating. Burial will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Timothy Horton, Jonathon Horton, Cliff Oliver, Tony Houchens, Josh Pierce, and Dennis Crabtree.

Though she will be deeply missed, her loved ones find comfort in knowing that she is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior, reunited with those who have gone before her.
