Betty "Knowles" Dye- age 74 passed away March 1, 2015.

When talking to Mrs. Dye's family, the words devoted, loving and strong were the first words they used to describe her. She had a love of family that reached deeper than most. She was the cornerstone to her siblings once her parents passed away and then became the Matriarch when she lost her husband and son. Some favorite memories that were shared were the time spent down at Kentucky Lake at "The Ponderosa", fishing and cooking. Most believed she had the best Lima Beans in the county. She loved her little poodle, Nikki, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her beloved great-grandchildren. Mrs. Betty also enjoyed listening to country music, mostly George Strait, and watching "Dancing with the Stars." She will be forever loved and missed by the ones she touched and inspired by her strong will and devotion to her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Arvil Lee Dye; son, Terry Lee Dye and sister-in-law, Christy Knowles. She is survived by her children, Charlie (Laura) Dye and Dale (Linda K.) Dye; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Leo M. Knowles; sister, Joe Ann (Robert) Bowers.

A life celebration service will be held on Friday at 11am in the chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8pm and Friday from 9-11am at Hendersonville Funeral Home 353 E Main St Hendersonville, TN 37075 (615) 824-3855
