Betty Jo Hyde, 90, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026. Betty was born on October 28, 1935, to Jack and Saddie Lee Curtis, in Benton County, Tennessee.

Betty had a green thumb and loved growing flowers and gardening. She is known by names such as Grandma, Nana, MoMo, and NuNana. Betty was a loving mom, grandma, great-grandma, and sister. Her love, laughter, and humor will be missed.

Betty is preceded in death by her loving husband Virgil Edward Hyde, her parents Jack and Saddie, sisters Charlotte Pratt and Patsy Smith. She is survived by her daughters Deborah Jones and Tammy Sterling, her grandchildren Toby (Rachel) Sterling, Megan Jones, Chelsea Jones, and Isabella Jones; great-grandchildren Devin, Ava, Isaiah, Elijah, Amelia, Rider, and Johnny along with her brothers Bob (Nancy) Curtis and Mack (Wanda) Curtis.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 11am-1pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1pm in the Chapel at the funeral home. Burial will follow at 3pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Nashville.
