Betty Whittle

Betty Joyce Whittle, age 91, of Hendersonville, TN passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Carl Otto and Cora Hughes Killebrew.

Mrs. Whittle is survived by her children; William Whittle, Janice Klitzing (Mike), Philip Whittle (Georgie), Randy Whittle (Selena); sister, Beverly Dunlap; grandchildren Carl Klitzing, Tiffany Brinkley, Will Whittle (Kari), R.D. Whittle, Jacey Birch, Gillian Fields (Shelby), and Sarah Horan. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, R.D Whittle.

Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00pm on the afternoon of Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Hendersonville Funeral Home.  Following visitation, a graveside service to celebrate Betty’s life will be held at 2:00pm at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.

Betty grew up in Springville, TN and moved to Hendersonville in 1964 with her husband and four children, where they decided to lay down roots. She was a bright light that could lift your spirit with her attitude and infectious smile. She never met a stranger and welcomed everyone in with open arms. She loved the Lord, reading, flowers, sweet tea, and spending time with her family.
