Mr. Billy Joe Draper, Sr. age 82, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020.

Mr. Draper was born in Gainesboro, TN, on September 7, 1937, the son of the late Robert Draper and Velma Richardson Draper. He served in the United States Army. Mr. Draper retired from Ford Motor Glass Plant after many years of service. He was a member of the New Testament Apostolic Church. Mr. Draper enjoyed traveling, camping, swimming, and puzzles. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Draper was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Mabey.

Survivors include his wife, Stella Louise Bailey Draper, to whom he was married on August 24, 1960; two sons, Billy "Joey" Draper, Jr. (Kim) and Randy Draper; three grandsons, Chris Newman (Aubrey), Isaac Hixson, and Dillon Draper; a sister, Betty Adams; and a brother, Bruce Draper (Jane). Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 15, 2020, at 11:00 A.M., Hendersonville Funeral Home with Gary Mink officiating. Interment will be held Saturday at 3:00 P.M., Draper Cemetery in Pleasant Shade, TN.

Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Friday from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at Hendersonville Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Dillon Draper, Chris Newman, Isaac Hixson, Jim Morgan, Brant Adams, and Joel Wilbur.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made to Draper Cemetery 1746 Wartrace Hwy Whitleyville, TN 38588.
