Steven Brandon Griffin of Hendersonville TN passed away peacefully at the age of 51 at TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center on July 21, 2026 surrounded by family and friends.
Brandon was born on January 16,1975 in Clarksdale MS to Butch and the late Dianne Gresham Griffin. Brandon attended schools in Tunica MS, Columbus GA, and Marshall NC before the family moved to Hendersonville. Soon after graduating from Beech High School in Hendersonville where he was given the nickname (G-Money), Brandon began working in the Hendersonville Kroger Store where he remained employed for over thirty years. His time there provided Brandon with an abundance of opportunity to do what Brandon did best, amassing a remarkably vast network of amazing friends. It would be cliche to say he never met a stranger; the truth is he met them by the thousands. He just never met the same one twice as they quickly became friends. He used every encounter with people to strive to brighten their day whether in church, at work, or just hanging with friends and family.
Brandon had a contagious laugh and smile that touched the hearts of so many people over the years. His kindness, thoughtfulness and compassion, along with his clever wit, just added to the experience of knowing and loving Brandon.
Brandon was very active in his church CIL, greatly looking forward to services, studies and fellowship with the body.
He was quite theatrical and thoroughly enjoyed musicals, movies and plays, being especially fond of Phantom of the Opera and James Bond 007. He was also known for his wardrobe of costumes that he delighted in wearing to entertain children, customers or houseguests with Halloween being his favorite holiday of the year.
He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Dianne Gresham Griffin and is survived by father and biggest fan, Butch Griffin; siblings Kim Haley (Greg), Gresham Griffin (Julie), Mary Potter (Justin). Nieces and nephews Caleb, Randall and William Haley. Turner Belle and Harvey Griffin (Katie), Luke Griffin (Trinity), Jake, Daniel, Eli Cheney, Justin II and Elizabeth Potter (Josh). He is also survived by great niece and nephews Evie, Micah, Dawsen, Kasen, Silas, and Jensen.
The outpouring of love, comfort and support from our CIL church family, his Kroger family and many friends is greatly appreciated.
A visitation will be held at CIL church on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 11:00am until the hour of service. The Memorial Service will begin at 1:00pm in the church chapel.
