Charles Mitchell

Mr. Charles Rayford Mitchell age 81, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2020.

Mr. Mitchell was born in Alabama on January 13, 1939, the son of the late John Mitchell and Katie Belcher Mitchell. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy for twenty years. After retirement from the military he went to work for Xerox for twenty years and then invested in rental properties. He was a parishioner at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church for many years. Mr. Mitchell loved being a father. He enjoyed going to casinos. Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Theresa Mitchell; two sons, Randy and Scott Mitchell; and a brother, Roy Mitchell.

Survivors include his daughter, Julie Johnson; sister, Irene Young; three step-sons, George Ferri (Teresa), Edward Ferri (Judy Winfield-Ferri), and David Ferri (Patti); step-daughter, Monica Hedges; and three grandchildren, Brian Johnson, Dylan Hedges (Jenny), and Alexandra Terry (Nathan); and a great-grandson, Henry Hedges.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church 1729 Stop 30 Road, Hendersonville, TN 37075.
