Age 61 passed away on January 27, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Louvin. Sonny leaves behind his children, Wendy and Alex; mother, Betty Louvin; brothers, Ken (Cheryl) Louvin, Glenn (Chris) Louvin; nieces, Kimberly (Tom) Clutter, Kelly Louvin, Cassidy Louvin; and nephew, Cade Louvin.
A private burial was held at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sonny's honor to MusiCares at 1904 Wedgewood Avenue, Nashville, TN 37212 or to Opry Trust Fund at One Gaylord Drive, Nashville, TN 37214.
