Christopher W. Eckert

Christopher William “Chris” Eckert passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. Chris was born on October 12, 1983, in Nashville, Tennessee to Kenneth “Ken” Eckert and Sherrie D. Johnson.

Chris was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and target shooting. He was an avid reader and book collector. His interests ranged from history, politics, religious studies, photography, and painting, along with numerous collections, and building sophisticated models and Legos.

Chris is preceded in death by his grandparents. He is survived by his wife Alison Eckert, his father Kenneth (Bonnie) Eckert, Mother Sherrie D. Johnson, brother James Matthew Johnson, bonus brothers Brian (Amanda) Walczyk and James Walczyk, bonus sister Sara Walczyk, bonus nieces Olivia and Emily Walczyk, nephew James “Louie” Johnson, Uncle Joseph Michael Eckert, and Alison’s parents Ronald and Ronda Johnson. In addition, he is survived by numerous extended family members and friends.

Chris was a loving husband and son. His love, laughter, and sense of humor will be missed.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 5pm-7pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home. The funeral service will held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 2pm with visitation beginning at 1pm. Burial will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
