Curtis C. Loftin, age 89, of Hendersonville passed away on November 4, 2023. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee on June 27, 1934 to the late Robert Elmo Loftin, Sr. and Pearl Palastine Hudspeth Loftin.
Curtis enjoyed working in his yard, spending time with CBCA friends, and solving crossword puzzles. He loved to spend time with his family and was known as “Pawpaw” to his grandchildren. Curtis also loved music, even as a young man. His music teacher in high school left this quote in his annual, 'May your life be filled with beautiful music." Curtis was a member of Indian Lake Peninsula Church and enjoyed being involved in anything at church.
In addition to his parents, Curtis is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Judith Loftin; and his siblings, Ruby McMillin, James Loftin, Marie Denny, and Carrie Alice Loftin.
Curtis is survived by his children, Kathy McManus (Jim) and David Loftin (Cindy); grandchildren, Jennifer Alexander (Adam), Jeremy Allen (Brooke), Mary Grace Moore (Josh), Anna Beth Caldwell (Robbie), Olivia Ellington (Tyler), Jennifer Simpkins (Troy), Garret McManus (Rhonda);12 great grandchildren; and siblings, R.E. Loftin, Jr. and Harvill Huff.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Indian Lake Peninsula Church from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm. After visitation, a service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that a donation be made to Alive Hospice in Curtis's name.
