Dana Gentry

Dana Gale Gentry gained her angel wings on Friday, September 16, 2022.

Dana was born on August 23, 1974, in Nashville, TN. Dana is predeceased by her father, Eddie Gentry and mother Shirley Duvall. She is survived by her bonus Dad, Roy Duvall, brothers: Scott Gentry and Todd Duvall, sisters: Holly Girgies, Kim & (Marty) Goldman, Tyminda & (Brian) Stanley, adored nieces and nephews: Logan, Josh, Alex, Cassidy, Sammy, Gavin, Brooke, Morgan, Brittany, Andrea, Kayla, Bryce, Hunter, and Hailey, as well as numerous beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, September 23, 2022, at 10:00AM at Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Celebration of life services will follow at 11:00AM. Pallbearers are Josh Gentry, Scott Gentry, Alex Girgies, Brian Stanley, Marty Goldman, and Bobby Cooper.

Everyone who knew Dana felt her big caring heart and loving nature. Dana loved all kinds of music, dancing, M&M’s, coffee, flashlights, toothbrushes, dollar bills, and batteries.  Dana loved the simple things in life.  Like spending time with family, watching movies, going to the dollar store, or just relaxing.  You could often find her sitting in her favorite chair rocking back and forth with a cup of coffee in her Wonder Woman mug.  She loved animals and children. Dana never complained, she was always happy.  We can all learn from Dana’s example to cherish the small things and enjoy the time we have. May her playful soul shine on. To you, O Lord, we lift her soul.
