Daniel M. "Dan" Gilmore

Apr 15, 1942 — Aug 1, 2026

Daniel M. “Dan” Gilmore, 84, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2026. Dan was born on April 15, 1942, in Evansville, Indiana to Donald D. and Doris (Proctor) Gilmore.

Dan proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother, and uncle. Also, Dan was a big Kentucky Basketball fan and a wood craftsman younger in life. His consistent fun sense of humor, always cracking a joke will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife Mary Gilmore, his sons Ken (Jo) Gilmore, and Craig Gilmore. Dan is also survived by his adoring granddaughters Stevie Gilmore, and Bailey Gilmore; brother Don (Debby) Gilmore, sister-in-law Linda Gilmore, nieces Michelle Gilmore and Charis (William) Brown, nephews Josh Gilmore and Steve Gilmore, and his “brother from another mother” and best friend Ed (Lynn) Summers.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 1pm-3pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home. The graveside service will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens at 3pm with military honors.
