Darlene Joyce Riggs Galysh, of Hendersonville, passed away on Thursday, September 26th, 2019 at the age of 59. Preceded in death by her parents; Tony and Catherine Riggs, and brother, Tony M. Riggs Jr. Survived by her husband Daniel, of 28 years, children; Stacey Joplin, James Joplin and Ashley Galysh, grandchildren; Savannah Lemons and Caleb Goddard, and niece, Crystal Riggs. Darlene is also survived by her dog "Sophie" and her cats, "Pixie" and "Dixie" along with many other extended family and friends.

Darlene was born on April 1, 1960 in Cleveland, Ohio. She met her husband Daniel in Cleveland and encouraged him to move to Tennessee where they got married on July 3rd, 1991. Darlene worked for ABC Technologies and at Hendersonville Medical Center. She enjoyed doing crafts, animals, including her pets, birds, squirrels and other wildlife and listening to rock and r&b music. Darlene was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who had a good heart and was willing to help anyone in need.

A celebration of life service for Darlene will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home, 353 East Main Street in Hendersonville on Tuesday, October 1st at 11:00 AM. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, September 30th from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM and again one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
