Dee Anne Casady, age 87, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2026. She was born on October 17, 1938, in Lafayette, Tennessee.
A graduate of Macon County High School, Dee Anne was a devoted homemaker whose greatest joy was creating a warm and loving home for her family. She found beauty and purpose in the simple, meaningful things of life—sewing with her hands, tending her garden, getting lost in a good book, and caring for the people she loved. Her home was a reflection of her generous heart: welcoming, peaceful, and filled with love.
She loved deeply and gave freely, always putting her family’s needs and happiness close to her heart. Through her quiet strength, creativity, and unwavering devotion, she created a lifetime of cherished memories and a legacy of love that will live on in all who knew her. She will be remembered not only for the beautiful things she made and the home she lovingly tended, but most of all for the love she gave so generously.
Dee Anne is preceded in death by her parents, Leo Whitley and Martha Whitley; her loving husband, Jack Casady, and beloved son, Jon Casady.
Her legacy of love is left behind to her children, Melanie Miller (Ted), Christi Sampson (Darrell Bult), and daughter-in-law Amy Casady. She is also survived by her brother, Andre Whitley (Mary); grandchildren, Brynn Denton (Brandon), Jillian Royster (Taven), Jackson Miller (Martha), Casady Gammon (Andy), Hannah Rudd, Savannah Casady, and Tristan Casady; and great-grandchildren, Nathan Gammon, Henry Gammon, Leo Royster, Oliver Royster, Eli Royster, Rae Rudd, Jack Rudd, Heidi Rudd, Sinclair Miller, Whitley Miller, and Woods Denton.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Anderson & Son Memorial Park, 997 TN-52 Scenic, Lafayette, Tennessee 37083, beginning at 3:00 p.m.
