IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dianne Gresham
Griffin
February 8, 1948 – March 9, 2026
Dianne Gresham Griffin (“G.G.”), age 78, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at home on March 9, 2026.
Dianne was born on February 8, 1948, in Clarksdale, Mississippi, to the late Jonnie Gresham and William Harvey Gresham Jr. She attended Coahoma County High School. After marrying the love of her life they eventually settled and spent the last 30 years of their life in Hendersonville, Tennessee.
Affectionately known as “G.G.” by those who loved her, Dianne had a vibrant and creative spirit. She enjoyed decorating, crafting, sewing, and painting, and was known for her artistic and multi-talented nature. She also loved her puzzles and had a special fondness for collecting elephants. Dianne enjoyed cooking and creating a warm and welcoming home for family and friends. She never met a stranger and had a gift for making everyone feel at home.
Her faith was very important to her. She was actively involved in her church and participated in Women’s Bible Study, where she enjoyed leading and sharing her love of Christ and His word with others.
Dianne loved traveling and treasured the opportunity to explore the world, especially Italy, England, and other parts of Europe. More than anything, she cherished time spent with her family, particularly during holidays and family gatherings.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jonnie Gresham and William Harvey Gresham Jr.
Dianne is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Butch Griffin; her children, Kim Haley (Greg), Gresham Griffin (Julie), Brandon Griffin, and Mary Potter (Justin); her siblings, Bill Gresham (Becky) and Strick Gresham (Pam); and numerous grandchildren including Caleb, Randall, and William Haley, Turner Belle and Harvey Griffin (Katie), Luke Griffin (Trinity), Jake, Daniel and Eli Cheney, Justin II and Elizabeth Potter (Josh). She is also survived by great-grandchildren Evie, Micah, Dawsen, Kasen, and Silas, along with many dear friends and extended family members.
Dianne will be remembered for her creativity, faith, love of family, and the joy she brought to those around her.
We would like to express our deepest appreciation to our CIL church family and her many friends for their love and support.
Arrangements are pending.
