Donald Anthony Raymer

Donald Anthony Raymer, age 75, passed away at his home in Gallatin, Tennessee, on November 5, 2026 after a long struggle with cancer. He will be remembered for his love of family, his passion for sports, his successful professional career, and, above all, his unwavering faith in Jesus Christ.

Don had a lifelong love of sports, especially basketball. In 1969, he earned a spot on the Nashville-Davidson County All-team as a senior at Nashville's East High School Eagles basketball team. His talent on the court earned him a college scholarship where he received his degree in chemistry. Don was an avid fan of the University of Alabama’s Crimson Tide.

Following graduation, Don began his career in the sporting goods industry before entering pharmaceutical sales, where he spent the majority of his professional life. Through dedication, hard work, and leadership, he built a distinguished career and retired as Senior Vice President of Sales for American Regent Laboratories on Long Island, New York.

Above all, Don's life was grounded in his faith in Jesus Christ. He was saved by grace through faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and freely shared his faith with family and friends. The promise of eternal life through Christ was a message he cherished and shared freely with those around him. We are confident that one day we will be reunited.

Don is survived by his beloved wife, Rosemary Coble Raymer, and their family, including seven children and their spouses: Wendy Estes Owen (William), Ashton Raymer (Amy), Caron Cummings Taff (Sean), Whitley Raymer Bouler (Eric), Christopher Estes (Jessica), Cathryn Rose Vetter (Philip), and Cody Raymer (Emily).

He also leaves behind his brothers, Bobby Raymer Jr. (Vicky), Gene Raymer (Victoria), and Wayne Raymer (Elita).

The joy of Don’s life is our fourteen grandchildren: Joseph Owen (Ashley), Heather Owen, Paxton King, Braden King, Jimmy Taff, Jonas Taff, Susanne Bouler Howard (Nick), Tripp Bouler, Monroe Bouler, PJ Vetter, Mikey Vetter, Ella Estes, Avery Estes, and Sterling Raymer; and six great-grandchildren: Jon, Sophia, Austin, Olivia, Madison and August;

Don was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Raymer Sr.; his mother, Betty Allen Raymer; his mother and father-in-law, James and Patsy Coble; his sisters, Susan Raymer McIntyre and Doris Faye Raymer; and his dear granddaughter, Ava Rose Estes.

Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in the promise of God's Word:

Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it. Ecclesiastes 12:7.
