Donald Andrews Strahle, age 84 of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. Don was born on January 10, 1941, in Brooklyn, New York while in an elevator! Don was a good man with a positive mindset who looked at the lighter things of life. Even in the worst moments of a crisis, he would always attempt to put a positive spin on things.
He was a deeply generous man who consistently offered words of encouragement during difficult times, while ensuring his family, especially his wife of 54 years, was cared for financially, physically, and emotionally. He was a long-time member of the Church of Christ while attending many years at both Madison and Hendersonville locations.
On January 19, 1963, Don was united in marriage to his loving, devoted, and faithful wife which proved over his lifetime to be his crown achievement as she was the focus of his life while on this Earth. Don was proud of his two children, Ron and Robin, especially with the accomplishments of his son while serving in the Armed Services, which he and his son both achieved decorated and honorable service.
Don was an accomplished and distinguished certified HVAC engineer with multiple designations serving a long career with Neuhoff Swift Meat Packing Company, Opryland Hotel, Oscar Meyer, Sumner County Education Schools system to include President of HVAC Consulting Services, Inc.
Don is survived by two children, Ron (Teresa) Strahle, Robin (Ken) Davis; one stepson, Ken (Denise) Linder; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Velma Morris and Melva Williams.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, 7 October from 3-7pm and Wednesday, 8 October from 8:30-9am. A celebration of life will begin promptly at 9am with interment following at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, Nashville.
