Mrs. Edith Marie Cook age 93, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2020.

Mrs. Cook was born in Macon County, TN, on March 31, 1927, the daughter of the late William Floyd Wakefield and Betty Jenkins Wakefield. She was a member of Hendersonville Church of Christ. Mrs. Cook enjoyed sewing and helping others. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Cook; two sisters, Ruby Clark and Loraine Barton; and two brothers, Manson Wakefield and Lovell Wakefield.

Survivors include her son, Mike Cook (Nancy Alvis) and a sister, Edna Meadows (E.C.). Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, September 17, 2020, at 11:00 A.M., Hendersonville Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Campground Cemetery at 1:30 P.M.

Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Hendersonville Funeral Home.
