On October 16, 2022, the Lord called another soldier home. Elmo Patterson was born on May 26, 1941, to Joe and Annie L. Patterson.
He professed hope in Christ at an early age. He was pastor at Mt. Zion Baptist Church for several years. He joined the Army to serve his country. Elmo attended Robertson County Schools. He loved to travel and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Elmo is preceded in death by his brothers James, Robert, Lewis, and twin Delmo Patterson; sisters Annie Williams, Dorothy Coleman, Lula Williams, Margaret Ann House, Mary Turner Blakemore, and Peggy Young.
Those left to cherish his memory, his devoted sister Louise (Mike) Holcomb; sons Dennis W., Donald W., Danny W., Elmo Patterson, III, and Anres Patterson; daughters Deborah Sue Leavell, Nancy Patterson, Carola Patterson, and Lissi Weichenberger; nine grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and special friend Minnie Lewis.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 24, 2022, at Hendersonville Funeral Home from 10am-12pm. A funeral service will begin at 12pm with Pastor Mark Washington officiating. Burial will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
