Eva Young

Eva Nadine (Proffitt) Young age 86, of Gallatin passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, in her home with her husband and children.  Mrs. Young was a native of Tompkinsville, Kentucky where she was born on June 17, 1936.

Eva was married to Elvie Young for 68 years.  She was a cosmetologist for approximately 55 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents Vanus and Ruby Proffitt.  She is survived by her husband Elvie Young of Gallatin; her two sons Ricky (Christy) Young of Castalian Springs and Timmy (Bellena) Young of Gallatin.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Ashley (Brandon) Miller of Gallatin, Jessica Reese of Gallatin, Allison Young of Castalian Springs, Kaylee Young of Gallatin, Rachel (Justin) White of Gallatin, and Austin (Mary) Piercey of Lebanon.  In addition, she is survived by her great-grandchildren McKinley Deathridge, Hadleigh Reese, Addy White, and Lauryn Piercey.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023, from 4pm-7pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home.  Services will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, beginning at 1pm in the Chapel at Hendersonville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11am.  Burial will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.

Active pallbearer’s will be Brandon Miller, Austin Piercey, Dwayne Tucker, David Apollos, John Conyer, and Marvin Graves.
