Franklin Edward Raymer, age 82, passed away on October 28, 2023.  He was born on January 31, 1941 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Daddy surely lived life to the fullest and loved to joke and laugh. In his younger years, he was a youth baseball coach with his lifelong friend, Waymon Settle. He was also a youth football coach in Madison Tennessee, where he created friendships that have lasted to this day. He taught Sunday school at his local church.

Frankie was a faithful employee of the United States Postal Service for 30 years. He served in the Naval Reserves and the National Guard. During his 32 years of retirement, he enjoyed mornings with his McDonald’s family of friends and his two hours a day at Trickett Rivergate.

He loved the beach, deep-sea fishing with his dad and brother, golfing, music, dancing, traveling, and his SEC college football Saturdays (Go Gators!) Frankie deeply loved and respected his parents, of whom raised him to know God, and instilled a great love for the holidays. He was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren and loved them very much.

He was a baptized, confessed believer in Jesus Christ and a member of the Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Burnett and Mildred Raymer, and brother James William Raymer. He is survived by his wife of 35 years and the mother of his children, Judy Howden Speight. Children: Gina (Michael) Taylor, Con (Lisa) Raymer and Joshua Raymer. Grandchildren: Seth, Holly, Zachary and Morgan. Great-grandchildren: Brooklyn, Caydence, Amelia and Kohen. Sister-in-law Janice Raymer and best friend for life, Waymon Settle.

The greatest gift we ever had came from God; we called him Daddy.
