Georgia Fields

Georgia M. Fields, 87, of Hendersonville, passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. Preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Fields Jr., parents, Claude and Dorothy Brisbin, and brother, Robert Brisbin.

She is survived by her children, Sandra K. Smith, Daniel J. Fields (Theresa), Timothy R. Fields (Linda), Felicia F. Bennett (Sheldon), grandchildren, Ryan C. Nelson, Amber J. Smith, Ashley A. Smith, Megan N. Moore (Chase D.), Jackson T. Fields, Brandon Bennett (Brandi), Stephen Bennett (Janeth), Camryn Bennett, Billy Redman, April Redman and Brandy Parsons, great-grandchildren, Easton T. Smith, Alexis Nelson, Mia G. Smith, Rylee J. Smith, McKenna Bennett, Mason Bennett, Kayden Bennett and Kai Bennett.

Georgia was born on October 7, 1934, in Los Angeles, CA. She met her husband Clyde while he was in the Air Force, stationed in California. She retired from the Tennessean newspaper in 1996. Georgia was a strong yet opiniated woman who enjoyed her grandchildren, getting together for Christmas and working in her yard, growing her orchids.

A graveside service for Georgia will be held at Hendersonville Memory Gardens, 353 East Main Street in Hendersonville, on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at 3:00 PM. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM.
