Gerald W. Drabeck

Springfield, TN 

Drabeck, Gerald William - Went home to be with the Lord on August 20th, 2024. He was the beloved husband of the late Betty L. Drabeck (nee Barbour), loving father of Gerald W. (wife Kathleen) of Rootstown, OH, Daniel J. of Springfield, and grandfather of Gerald W. Drabeck III of Tallmadge, OH. Also surviving are his brother, Fred J. Drabeck, Jr. and wife, Laverna, and his sisters, Dianna Yurkovich and Wanita Kraus; numerous nephews, nieces, his significant other, Margaret Mullins, and additional family and friends who will mourn his passing. 

Gerald grew up in Washington, PA, and graduated from Canon-McMillan High School, and Penn State University. He married and lived for many years in Ohio while working at Firestone's former Seiberling Rubber Co. facility in Barberton, OH, in 1967, and eventually moved to BFS's corporate office in Nashville. He became a corporate credit manager in 1994, but prior to that he had held positions including regional credit manager, general credit manager, and division credit manager. 

He was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Hendersonville, TN., a fourth degree Knight of Columbus, and enjoyed motorcycle trips, Penn State Football, and golfing. 

Mass of Christian Burial, on 8/23/2024 12-2pm viewing, 2pm Mass at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Hendersonville, TN. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). 

Entombment following, Memorial Gardens in Hendersonville, TN
