On Monday morning, October 6, 97-year-old Herbert David Mann slipped away to Jesus as one of our Orlando pastors read from 2 Corinthians 4:16-18. He exited quietly as was befitting to the godly, quiet life he led.
We are taking his body to Tennessee to lay it next to Tiny and Braden. Please pray for his wife Fran. “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all”.
Herbert is preceded in death by his first wife Tiny Mann; son Braden Mann; and 7 brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife Frances Mann; daughter Bettina (Rob) Dowell; grandchildren David (Brittany) Dowell, Mark Dowell, and Libby Dowell; great-grandchildren Winston, Bernadette, and Beatrice. In addition, he is survived by his stepson Les Roycroft, stepdaughter Robin Peacock, step-grandchildren Stephen (Jane) Roycroft, Rebecca (T.J.) Hall, Judith (Jordan) Patterson, and Morgan (Brandon) Honea; step-great grandchildren Jacob, Maggie, and Addie; former stepson in law Jay Peacock along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
A graveside service will be held at 11am, on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
