Today, we celebrate the life of Jack Delwin Jones Jr. Jack lost his life in a tragic motorcycle accident on Tuesday May 27, 2025, while doing something he loved to do, riding one of his three motorcycles. Jack was 81 yrs young, born in Spokane Washington May 15, 1944, on the Army base. He followed a family tradition and joined the Navy out of High School and toured the world on the USS Constellation CV64 where he made three trips to Viet Nam. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, Jack settled in California and started his career in the computer industry.
Jack always loved riding motorcycles. In California he became a member of the “Partners MC” where he still had lifetime friends. While in California he met and married Bette Swall. They were separated for many years, but fate brought these two soul mates back together and ended up with thirty-two total wonderful years together. She will miss him dearly.
Jack was a member of the VFW, CMA (Christian Motorcyclist Association), CMT ABATE, Inc, BMW Club of Nashville, Music City Airstream Club. Jack and Bette traveled extensively and enjoyed life to the fullest. Jack enjoyed the Sumner County YMCA where he loved the water aerobics class several times per week and taught Tai Chi at the senior center on Tuesdays.
Jack leaves behind his three sons, Jack D Jones III, Thomas B Jones, Michael J Jones, and one grandson Keith Jones and his three great grandchildren. He will be missed by Bette’s boys, Robert Stewart and Brian Stewart who also loved him.
