Jack Wallace Smith

Jack Wallace Smith, age 89 of Gallatin, TN passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. He was preceded in death by his parents, William & Ethel Smith; siblings, Doyle Smith, Jessie Marquand, Ray Smith, Thomas Smith, Martha Pippins and Dorothy Allison. 

Jack is survived by his wife, Ruth Smith; children, Tim Smith (Kelly) and Joni Szell (Tom); step-children, Tonya Bailey (Jason) and Michael Simpson (Teresa); grandchildren, Taylor Hopper (Will), Morgan Killian (Justin), Kelsey Fargo (Adam) and Danielle Barrett (Jonathan); step-grandchildren, James, Maya and Joshua Simpson; great-grandchildren, Campbell and Lily Hopper and Matthew Barrett; and brother, William Smith. Jack will be missed and fondly remembered by a host of other family and friends. 

A Memorial Service will be conducted at Hendersonville Funeral Home on January 31, 2025 with visitation starting at 1:00 PM and service following at 4:00 PM.
