James Lloyd Barnes - Age 77, of Hendersonville passed away August 30, 2015.

Mr. Barnes was a quirky, hardworking and caring husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a prominent business man in Hendersonville for the last 35 years. He was active member of Civil Air Patrol for the past 50+ years and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He enjoyed spending time with his family & friends. He also loved collecting buttons and pins. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.

Preceded in death by his mother, Ollie Mai Williams Edmondson; father, Leslie Barnes. Survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Doris E. Barnes; children, James Lloyd Barnes, II (Susie), Joel Leslie Barnes (Angie) and Jodi L. Ramsey (Jay); grandchildren, Lesley Jamie, Brandon, Lindsey, Michael, Daylan, Zachariah, Jaydon, Tyler & Seth; great-grandchildren, Preston & Alice; brother, Gene Barnes (Kathi); sister, Sandy Obrien (Tom); several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A Life Celebration will be held 6:30pm Thursday, September 3, 2015 at The Indian Lake Penisula Church formely known as Bluegrass Baptist Church with a gathering starting at 6:00pm until time of service at church.
