James Robert Daniel Valencourt, "Rob", 48, of Hendersonville, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2021. Preceded in death by his father, Donald Valencourt. Rob is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Misty Yoho Valencourt, daughters, Jillian and Mia, mother, Ella Valencourt, seven siblings and many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Rob was born on January 12, 1973 in Ashland, Kentucky to Donald and Ella Valencourt. Rob proudly served in the United States Army. He was stationed at Ft. Campbell Kentucky with the 101st Airborne. He served in the infantry and artillery. He was also stationed in Korea and served two tours in Afghanistan before retiring in 2016 with the rank of Sgt. Rob enjoyed playing sports and was an avid Kentucky basketball fan. He also enjoyed working on cars and traveling to the beach with his family. A favorite destination was to St. George Island. Rob will be dearly missed by his loving family and by all who knew him.

Rob was a member of First Baptist Church Hendersonville where he volunteered with vacation bible school and, along with Misty, helped with the Special Friends Adult program.

A celebration of life service for Rob will be held at First Baptist Church Hendersonville on Tuesday, April 27th at 11:00 AM. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home, 353 East Main Street in Hendersonville on Monday, April 26th from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM and from 10:00 AM -11:00 on Tuesday at the church. Burial with Military Honors will be held at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Pegram following the service at 2:00 PM on Tuesday.
