Janette Hart Cobb

Janette "Janey" Hart Cobb, age 80, of Hendersonville passed away on May 8, 2025. She was a cherished individual known for being a lover of people, and her devotion to family was evident to all who knew her.

Janey was born on May 23, 1944 to the late James Benton Hart and JoNelle Annes Hart. 

Janey was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hendersonville and a member of the Searchers Sunday School Class.

Janey attended Tennessee State University, where she gained the knowledge that would accompany her throughout life. She was very creative, taking joy in various crafts and sharing her talents with others. An avid reader, she often found solace in the pages of a good book, which enriched her vibrant personality.

Janey had a particular fondness for vacations, with trips to the beach holding a special place in her heart. These moments spent by the shore brought her immense joy and cherished memories.

Janey is survived by her children, James "Jim" Richard Cobb, William Allen "Allen" Cobb, and Christy Jane Kimbrough; her sisters, Nancy Smallwood and Betsy Hart; her grandchildren, Justin Cobb, Callie Kimbrough, Elizabeth Kimbrough, and Keria Kimbrough; and her great grandchildren, Ellie Kimbrough, Snow Middleton, and Piper Middleton; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved dearly.

Visitation for Janey will take place on May 13, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 4:00 PM, both held at the Hendersonville Memory Gardens, Funeral Home & Cremation Center, located at 353 E Main St, Hendersonville, TN 37075.

Janey will be remembered fondly for her spirit and the love she extended to those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of creativity and warmth.
