Janice Lasater

Janice Ellen (Holland) Lasater, age 67, of Hendersonville, TN passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022 in Mount Juliet, TN. Jan was the daughter of the late Wayne and Shirley Holland of Nashville, TN. She graduated from Hendersonville High School , class of 1972, and Cumberland University, class of 1998. On December 17, 1977, she married the love of her life, John Dorris Lasater, and they were married for 44 years.

Jan is preceded in death by her parents. Jan is survived by her husband John Lasater; her sons; Drew Lasater and Jay Lasater; her brothers Reece Holland (Gary), Ken Holland (Tina), and Doug Holland (Kathy).

A service to celebrate Jan’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Hendersonville First Baptist Church with Jeff Lake and Jerry Wallace officiating. Visitation will be held 4-8 pm on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Hendersonville Funeral Home and visitation will be again one hour prior to the start of the service.

Jan was a loving wife and mother who dedicated her life to teaching and nurturing children. Wherever Jan went, laughter and joy were close to follow, and all who knew her will forever be blessed by her infectious laughter, bountiful personality, and joyous spirit. Generations of children came through her preschool and kindergarten classrooms at First Baptist Church Hendersonville and Davidson Academy. It is impossible to know the true impact of a life that touched and brightened so many other lives, but from the children she taught to the friends she made to the sons she raised and husband she loved, the ripples of Jan’s life will forever be a rising tide of blessing.
