JENETTA ALLISON HARDEN LAY
Jenetta Allison Harden Lay passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024, in her adopted hometown of Hendersonville, Tennessee. She was born to Daisy Keltner Allison and Omer Allison on October 2, 1931, in Columbia, Kentucky. Jenetta was a beautiful lady – inside and out – with an infectious smile, sense of humor, and laugh, all unmistakably hers, and which everyone who knew and met her loved and treasured.
Jenetta’s love and devotion to her two cherished children – Jan Ellis Harden (Mitchell) and Walter Craig Harden – was deep and unwavering; they were her life. Her two beloved grandchildren, Kathryn Alexis Mitchell (Cox) and Alexander Scott Mitchell, along with her great grandson Logan Tyler Cox, will forever carry their “Nannie” in their hearts.
Predeceased by her parents and her sisters – Maxine Allison Wade and Alleen Allison Marshall – Jenetta also has two treasured nieces, Karen Sue Wade and Debbie Wade Egnew, plus their children and grandchildren.
Visitation for Ms. Lay will be held at Hendersonville Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon Central Time, in the funeral chapel, located at 353 East Main Street, Hendersonville, Tennessee 37075. A Memory Garden graveside burial service will immediately follow at 12:00 noon.
