Jerry Gill Jackson

Jerry G. Jackson Sr., lovingly known as "Pops," passed away peacefully at his home in Castalian Springs, TN, on June 11, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on February 22, 1947, Jerry lived a life marked by service, devotion, and an abiding love for the people around him.

A proud United States Marine, Jerry served his country from 1964 to 1968, reaching the rank of E5 Sergeant. He completed a tour in Vietnam from 1966 to 1967, demonstrating courage, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to his fellow Marines.

Beyond his service, Jerry was a true country farm boy at heart, finding joy in the simple beauty of nature. He spent countless hours watching and caring for the wildlife around his home—feeding deer, turkeys, raccoons, possums, and stray cats that found sanctuary in his presence. His deep appreciation for the natural world reflected his gentle spirit and kind soul.

Jerry’s greatest love was his family. He shared 47 years of marriage with his cherished wife, Judy Jackson, and together they built a life full of love and memories. He was a devoted father to Robert “Bobby” Jackson (Jenna Jackson), Jerry Jackson Jr. (Ashley Jackson), and Justin Kerchner (Nicole Kerchner), and a proud grandfather to Jerry “Trey” Jackson III, Megan C. Jackson, Abel C. Jackson, and Andy K. Jackson.

Jerry will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to those he loved. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
