Jessie Covington

Jessie Marie Covington, age 98, of Hendersonville, passed away on August 3, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Allen Covington, sisters; Ruth and Cassie, Ila Mae and brothers; Fred, Earnest, James, William, John Covington and granddaughter, Susan Marie Covington. She is survived by sons, Michael, James and his wife Debbie, and John Covington; grandchildren; Matthew and his wife Stephanie, and Amanda Janelle Bayne.

Jessie was born on June 6, 1923, to the late J.M. Covington and Donnie Parker. She was a loving mother and wife, a member of Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Church and an Eastern Star. She enjoyed giving to others, wanting to make sure when she gave you a hug, you ‘knew’ it was a Loving hug.

A celebration of life service for Jessie will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home, 353 East Main Street in Hendersonville, on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 11 a.m., officiated by Pastor Jeff DeWeese. Visitation with the family and friends will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will follow the service in the mausoleum at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jessie’s memory may be made to the Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Church Building Fund.
