Jim Carmody Sr. passed away on Wednesday, August 28th, 2019 at the age of 86. Mr. Carmody was born July 13, 1933 the son of James G. and Martha Kail Carmody. He was married to the former Helen Sforza on November 14, 1953 until her passing in 2012.

He grew up in Ohio and spent his entire business life in Ohio as well. Jim's absolute best attribute was his love of his family; sons David and Jim Jr., his granddaughter, Lindsey and his daughters-in-law, Linda and Elizabeth along with a previous daughter-in-law, Denise Baich.

He is survived by one sister Mary Lou Stevenson of Girard, OH. He was a proud brother of Nora Saare, Charles E. Carmody and Robert R. Carmody. Anyone who knew Jim loved him. His gregarious nature was a gift to be around and his singing was....well terrific. Hopefully he is singing Danny Boy to the heavens now. Jim was proud to be an executive and part owner at Magnus Distribution for over 30 years.

A Celebration of Life service for Mr. Carmody will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home on Sunday, September 1st at 5:00PM. Visitation for family and friends will be from 1:00PM-5:00PM. Following the service there will be a celebration held at the home of Jim Carmody Jr.
