Jimmy Walden Morgan Sr. passed away on Tuesday, February 4th 2020 in Nashville, TN. Funeral Services for Jimmy will be held on Saturday February 8th 2020 at 11:00AM in the Chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home with interment to follow at 3:00PM in Draper Cemetery in Pleasant Shade, TN. Dr. Bruce Chesser & Brother Terry Samples will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be: Randy Draper, Joey Draper, Freddy Morgan, John Morgan Dewayne Taylor, Michael Simmons, Jason Morgan & Todd Parker. Honorary pallbearers include: Dee Eubank, Daniel Eubank, Mike Witt, Earl Simmons. Pallbearers at the cemetery will include Becker Morgan, Bo Morgan, Zach Covington, Kevin Covington, Buddy Morgan, Ralph Morgan, Roy Morgan & Jason Morgan with Bro. Edward Anderson conducting the committal service.

The family will accept visitors at the funeral home on Friday February 7th from 4:00PM until 8:00PM. Visitation will continue Saturday February 8th from 10:00AM until service time at 11:00AM.

Jimmy leaves behind a legacy of love. Many knew him by his nickname "Dog" and to his grandchildren he was "Papa Dog". When Jimmy was young he loved to play softball. He became a talented hunter & took up bowling as well. Later in life, he became very passionate about golf and would share the love of that sport with his family.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents Fred & Doris Morgan. His sister Wanda Sue Hendrix & brother Lester Grey Morgan.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Catherine Morgan. His son Jim Jr. & (Cricket) Morgan. Daughter Pattie & (Kevin) Covington. Grandchildren: Becker Morgan, Brynn Morgan, Bo Morgan & Zach Covington. His sister Linda Sexton, brother Joe & (Sandra) Morgan, brother Ralph & (Peggy) Morgan, brother Roy & (Wanda) Morgan, brother Buddy & (Mary-Alice) Morgan as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Jimmy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Flowers are accepted and any memorial contributions can be made in Jimmy's name to Hendersonville Homebound Meals on Wheels or to Draper Cemetery.
