John Yambrick

John Donald Yambrick, age 90, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022.  John was born to John and Wilma Yambrick on January 3, 1932, in Sheboygan, WI.

John was a veteran of the Korean War and loved to tell the story.  He loved to fish with his family and veteran buddies.  His favorite thing to do was to dance with the ladies at Long Hollow Jamboree and was an avid card player.  John was loved by many and will be greatly missed by his community and family.

John is preceded in death by his wife Ruth Yambrick; his sons Don Yambrick and Larry Yambrick; his brother Stanley Yambrick and sister Kay Earhart.  He is survived by his daughter Cindy Thompson; grandchildren Michael (Brittany) Thompson and Tiffany (Liz) Thompson; great granddaughter Brooklyn Thompson; sister Carol Thompson and a very special person in his life, Brenda Mayer, whom he loved like a daughter.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022, from 1-3pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home.  A Memorial Service conducted by his grandson Michael Thompson will begin at 3pm with inurnment to follow at the mausoleum at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Salvation Army.
