Karl Schwabe Ii

Karl F. Schwabe age 95 of Hendersonville, TN passed away on 12/24/2022. Born March 11, 1927 in Hannibal, Missouri. The son of Karl F. (Sr.) and Louise (Willett) Schwabe who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife Carol (Cochran) Schwabe and two sons. Kirk (Janet) and Kip Schwabe of Hendersonville, TN. Two grandaughters, Amanda (Jose') Perez of Los Angeles, CA and Sarah (Travis) Gordon of Broomfield, CO. and great grandaughter, Opal Eileen Gordon. Mr. Schwabe attended Kirksville State Teachers College, the Kansas City Art Institute, and the California School of Fine Arts. He served in the military as a Sergeant in the A.A.F. in 1945 and 1946. After a career in new Product Development he retired from U.S. Gypsum Company in 1988. Karl loved spending time with his family, especially his grandaughters. He enjoyed creating various art work including pottery. Other hobbies included listening to jazz music, collecting stamps with his stamp club, and was an avid basketball and football fan.

Graveside services will be held at Hendersonville Memory Gardens on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 1pm.
